Studio Booking Rules

Who can use the studios?

You can only reserve the studios if you are shooting an assignment for class AND have gone over studio lights in class. Your professor's signed approval is required to secure booking.

Permits

Using the studio Monday through Friday between 9:00am to 4:00pm does not warrant a permit. Using the studio after 4:00pm requires a permit.

When to request:

ONE-WEEK MINIMUM notice is needed for reservations and/or permits for the studios.

How to reserve the studio:

  1. Check the online calendar for the studio availability

  2. Download "YourName_Permit_Req.docx" file from Forms.

  3. Follow the instructions on the form and fill it out thoroughly at least ONE WEEK before you intend to use the space.

  4. ALL FIELDS MUST BE FILLED OUT CORRECTLY! (Make sure the day of week corresponds to the date you want).

  5. BFA STUDENTS: For all studio request, email the filled form to your professor for their signed approval. Then, send the signed copy to gemanagerccny@gmail.com

  6. MFA STUDENTS: For Studio 390 and 391, email the filled form to your professor for their signed approval. Then, send the signed copy to gemanagerccny@gmail.com and cc' April G. Joffee <mfamediaarts@gmail.com >.  All other requests for MCA space should be sent directly to April G. Joffee.

  7. ONE-WEEK MINIMUM notice is needed to process the form. You will receive an electronic copy of the permit upon approval.

  8. Check the online calendar 48 hours after your request (or 48 hours after a weekend or holiday) to confirm you have been scheduled on the calendar.

  9. On the day of your shoot, provide a printed copy of your permit and the list of cast/crew to the security guard at the entrance.

  10. If you need to film beyond the allotted hours, the Office of Public Safety may require you to hire security officer. You are responsible for the fee.
